3/3/2017 2:40:54 PM
In the interest of code enforcement and public safety, City of Rensselaer officials recently adopted a resolution on January 18, 2017 to provide Amnesty for Parking Summonses returnable to the City of Rensselaer Parking Violations Bureau.
Mayor Daniel J. Dwyer and the Common Council of the City announce an extension to the amnesty program for open parking tickets issued on or before January, 2017 and returnable to the City of Rensselaer Parking Violations Bureau.
During the period of February 1, 2017 through March 31, 2017 a forty percent (40%) reduction will be offered. Payments received will be accepted in full satisfaction for the above referenced open parking tickets.
This program is a one time opportunity to clear-up unanswered summonses and have a savings at the same time.
After this time period, penalties will be re-instituted by the City, and all appropriate enforcement and collection procedures will be implemented.
