The City of Rensselaer and the Gerald O’Neil Post are happy to announce that we will have our traditional Memorial Day Parade this year!!!

The Veteran's Memorial Day Parade will step off at 2:00 pm on Sunday, May 30, 2021 from the intersection of Washington Avenue and Forbes Avenue and the Parade will go from Washington Avenue to Third Street and then right onto Partition Street crossing the Veteran’s Crossing Bridge.  The Parade will continue on Broadway to Third Avenue and end at the intersection of Walker Street and Third Avenue.

Mayor Stammel would like to remind folks who live along the Parade route or have property along the Parade route to dress their properites up in their "Sunday Best" and have things in tip top shape for Parade day as a way to join in the festivities and show pride in our City.

The opening Ceremonies are at 1:00 pm at the Doane Stuart School Parking lot and the Closing Ceremonies are right after the Parade at Huyck Square.

Please be sure to follow all New York State and CDC guidelines while enjoying the Parade this year and note that in the event of unforeseen circumstances the Parade could be cancelled due to an Executive Order.  If that should occur, a notification will be given on this site and in the media as soon as possible.

Come on out and enjoy the Parade with us this year.
