Applications for the New York State Homeowners Assistance Fund (NYSHAF) will open on Jan. 3rd. This grant is targeted at homeowners who have been financially affected by the pandemic and are in jeopardy of not being able to stay in their homes due to difficulty paying mortgages, property taxes and water and sewer bills. The program is funded by the New York State affordable housing agency, NYS Homes and Community Renewal, and in partnership with a nonprofit organization Sustainable Neighborhoods.
