LOW WATER PRESSURE IN AREAS AFFECTED BY THE 12-27-2025 WATER MAIN BREAK

DECLARATION OF STATE OF EMERGENCY A State of Emergency is hereby declared in the City of Rensselaer, New York Due to a Snow Emergency. Effective on Saturday December 27th, 2025, at 8:00 A.M. No Parking on the Even Side of the street for 24 hours. Effective on Sunday December 28th, 2025, at 8:00 A.M. No Parking on the Odd Side of the street for 24 Hours. This State of Emergency has been declared to respond effectively to a Snow Emergency pursuant to Chapter 91 of the Rensselaer City Code, a copy of which is attached hereto. To protect the persons and property of the residents of the City of Rensselaer, a Snow Emergency is necessary, and all provisions of Chapter 91 of the Rensselaer City Code must be followed by the Public. This State of Emergency will remain in effect for a period of 48 hours and may be extended by the Mayor of Rensselaer until the State of Emergency no longer exists. As Mayor of the City of Rensselaer, NY, I, Michael Stammel, have exercised the authority given to me under Chapter 91 of the Code of the City of Rensselaer, to preserve public safety and hereby render all required and available assistance vital to the security, well-being and health of the citizens of this municipality. I hereby direct all departments and agencies of the City of Rensselaer, New York, to take whatever steps necessary to protect life and property, public infrastructure, and provide such emergency assistance deemed necessary.
