Office Hours will be July 6,2021 - August 14,2021 10-2. Please call the office before visiting the office to make an appointment.
The City of Rensselaer Youth Bureau FREE Summer Fun Program will run Tuesday, July 6th to Friday, August 13th from 10:00am to 2:00pm at the Rensselaer Boys and Girls Club.
Each week will be limited to 30 kids. Registration will be on a first come first serve basis. Each family will have the opportunity to register for three weeks. Registration days will be held outside at the Rensselaer Boys and Girls Club on:
Tuesday, June 29th 6:00pm - 7:30pm
Wednesday, June 30th 1:00pm - 2:30pm
Thursday, July 1st 5:00pm - 6:30pm
THE SPRAY PARK AT THE WALTER S. PRATT MEMORIAL PLAYGROUND ON EAST STREET WILL BE OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK STARTING TUESDAY, JULY 6th and CLOSING SATURDAY, AUGUST 21st.
The spray park hours will be 10AM to 6PM Monday through Friday and 12PM to 4PM Saturdays and Sundays.
● Use of The East Street Spray Park will be limited to City of Rensselaer residents who obtain passes from the City Hall upon providing proof of residency in the City of Rensselaer.
● All social distancing requirements and group size limitations are set as follows:
○ A maximum number of people on premises.
○ All individuals MUST maintain a distance of at least six feet from other individuals at all times, unless they are members of the same household, family unit, or group.
○ For health and safety concerns, face coverings are NOT to be worn by individuals while they are in the water. But MUST be worn while entering and exiting the park and walking to and from the restrooms if not vaccinated.
○ Different groups MUST be separated by at least six feet apart on premise and in the water.
Please refer to the attached link for NYS Department of Health directed guidelines that the program must follow this year. Due to COVID, the program will have to run with many limitations and changes in place.

East Street Spray Park
Dear Youth Bureau Families & Friends,
Our main objective this summer is to provide your child(ren) with a safe and fun summer program experience. Below you will find our policies and procedures which come directly from the NYS department of Health.
● Use of The East Street Spray Park will be limited to City of Rensselaer residents who obtain passes from the City Hall upon providing proof of residency in the City of Rensselaer.

AT ARRIVAL
● Every guest will have their temperature taken with a no touch temporal scanner.
● There will be a short health screening questionnaire EVERY day for both guests and staff.
● A residence card is REQUIRED to enter the Spray Park. Residence cards can be obtained at the Clerk's office or the Youth Bureau office in the Rensselaer City Hall, 2nd floor. We will honor cards received in 2020. If you lost your card you MUST obtain a new card.

FACE MASKS (Unvaccinated Guests)
● MUST have a face mask with them. You do not have to wear them unless you are not compliant with the 6 feet apart.
● Face Masks MUST be worn at arrival for check in procedures and using the restrooms.
● Staff that are unvaccinated MUST wear masks when interacting with guests regardless of distance apart from them.
