Welcome to the home of the Rensselaer Police Department. The 28 members of the Rensselaer Police Department are proud to provide a full range of professional and modern police services to the approximately 10,000 residents of the City of Rensselaer as well as our visitors.
The men and women of the Rensselaer Police Department are proud of its community involvement, high level of service, and is committed to our continued efforts to keep Rensselaer a safe place to live and work. Our department works hand in hand with neighboring law enforcement agencies, community groups and most importantly its citizens; with the goal of providing exceptional law enforcement services to the citizens we serve.
