Rensselaer Riverfront Farmers Market

For Immediate Release

Rensselaer City Clerks Nancy Hardt and Julie Bink encourage you to attend an exciting Ribbon Cutting Ceremony hosted by the Rensselaer County Chamber of Commerce to celebrate the grand opening of the Rensselaer Riverfront Farmers Market located at Riverfront Park, Broadway at Fourth Ave. on Thursday, August 10th, 2023, at 4:00 p.m.

This Market is for You, the Farmers and the Vendors.  Scott Abraham; owner of the Rensselaer Riverfront Farmers Market describes the market as a farmers market mixed with a swap meet, tag sale, art gallery, a much smaller Brimfield, offering flowers, plants, and sessions that will teach, inspire, and create awareness.  We hope you are excited and eager for this new era in Rensselaer and we are honored to be a part of it.

The Farmers along with an eclectic and talented group of vendors and live music will bring a breath of fresh air to Rensselaer at just the right time with the closing of Aldi which creates a food desert in the south end of the City.  We see this as a win-win by promoting the farmers, vendors and musicians while filling the void for our residents, business commuters and neighboring communities.

The Market will be held each Thursday starting on August 10th through the end of September and there may be a surprise event or two thrown in just for fun.  Our special musical guests on opening day are Joe Adee and the Lug Nuts.

Come on down to the Rensselaer Riverfront Park Riverfront Farmers Market for Food, Fun, Crafts, Music and Community and be part of this new and lively addition to our City.

If you would like additional information about the Farmers Market, please feel free to contact Scott Abraham at 518-595-8109 or renssleaerfarmersmarket.com or City Clerk Nancy Hardt at 518-462-4266.
