EMERGENCY DECLARATION
Pursuant to Section 24 of the State Executive Law, I hereby extend the State of Emergency for the City of Rensselaer, issued Wednesday July 29, 2026, and originally scheduled to expire at 7:00 a.m. on Thursday July 30, 2026. Although the rain appears to be over, we are now dealing with the post storm cleanup, as many residents are without power and dealing with flooding issues. The emergency declaration is hereby extended until July 31, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. to allow emergency services to render aid in helping residents clean up from the st orm.
I hereby direct all departments and agencies to take whatever steps necessary to protect life and property, public infrastructure, and provide such emergency assistance as deemed necessary .
